Pastor James Owens - New Contributor
Sabbath Pulpit Welcomes its newest regular sermon contributor Pastor James Owens of the Longview Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church in Memphis Tennessee. The Sabbath Pulpit celebrates with my friend Dion Henry and the Ridge Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Henry came to Ridge with a plan. He saw the need for growth and began implementing it. This plan includes a radio program that provides help to the community. In addition, his visionary plan included an evangelistic meeting.

At this site you will see a ton of Adventist articles and books for your free download. One can see the book Seventh-day Adventists Believe which is an exposition of the 27 Fundamental Beliefs (maybe in the future the rewritten book with the 28th belief will be added.)
The Conscientious Objector
The Adventist News Network reports that a major motion picture is being created that looks at the story of Desmond Doss. Desomond Doss is the man who refused to carry a weapon during World War II.
Doss is the only person to have every recieved the Congressional Medal of Honor for non combat achievements.
Adventist Poverty Researcher Looking at Global Poverty
You might go to this post on the Adventist News Network where an Adventist is studying poverty in the world. It is interesting that his study brought him to look at the contribution of war to poverty. The researcher stated that Katrina added 3 million more people to the level of poverty.
